The Herb Table Workshop
This 1.5 hr hands on class teaches students how to use herbs in both the kitchen and for natural wellness support. By combining culinary application with foundational herbal knowledge, students will learn how everyday plants can serve a purpose beyond flavor.
We will cover how select herbs support digestion, immunity, and overall balance, along with simple preparation methods such as infusions and practical daily use.
As part of the class, students will prepare a butterfly pea flower herbal tea, using lemonade (sweetned with stevia and monkfruit) to demonstrate how pH can influence plant compounds and naturally change color. This introduces basic concepts of plant chemistry in a fun and interactive way. Students will be provided their own herbs to take home to share with their families.
Each participant will build their own herb garden from the ground up and take it home, creating a lasting resource they can continue to grow, harvest, and use. This reinforces indentification, care, and real-world application so the learning doesn't stop when the class ends.
