Throughout the program, students may explore topics such as plant identification, herbal categories and actions, seasonal Appalachian herbs, harvesting and drying, teas and infusions, salves, poultices, glycerites, and other practical herbal preparations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWhenever possible, we incorporate herbs grown and harvested at Mountain Trails Farm, giving students the opportunity to see, smell, taste, handle, and work directly with the plants they are learning about.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eClasses are designed to stand on their own, so students are welcome to join at any point in the program.
